Re: LCAD03VLNOD image path / video record / SD card backup???

I am very sorry to hear that. Well, did you make sure that the camera has the latest firmware version?

Re: LCAD03VLNOD image path / video record / SD card backup???

Yes it does, but too many software limitation. Would be nice to retry when those will have been fixed.

E;g. nice to be able to have SD card up to 32GB but downloading image one by one is not an acceptable option... or Recording limited to an hour when you try to record on a workstation in highest resolution... etc...

Thanks

Re: LCAD03VLNOD image path / video record / SD card backup???

To question nr 2, there is an Always recording option in the html interface of the LNR0208C NVR: I suppose it is the NVR that has to record it so it is there that it has to be set up.

Re: LCAD03VLNOD image path / video record / SD card backup???

To question nr 3, it is true that Motion Detection needs H.264 but it is by far the best codec; You only lose 16 lines of resolution, from 2048x1536 to 2032x1536 (at least on the LCAB03VLNOD). Is that an issue for you?

The FTP I have not checked, but the option is there: Why do you say it does not work?

Re: LCAD03VLNOD image path / video record / SD card backup???

1. always recording only work to the SD Card (only choice available. Why not to FTP???) ! but again transferring file by file after that should be changed to offer the download of folders! That will be splendid.

2. When you select the FTP option, and create a Stream event it does not capture anything. Just try it and you will see by yourself. Only the Snapshot option will work. And in that last case it does not offer the option to create folders per date or per hours, all files are going to the same single folder on the FTP, but thansfully with a clear name.

Thanks

Cannot read AVI files

Dear all,

I am installing a setup composed of the LNR0208C NVR plus several IP cameras LCABxxx, LCADxxx, etc...

The files that appear in the ftp server are .avi but I do not manage to open them with any normal program (VLC included).

What can I use to see the videos apart from the embedded video viewer of the NVR HMI interface?

Best regards,

JA

Re: Cannot read AVI files

Hi, Jaba,

You may try to check if the codec on your player is updated. If not, try to uninstall and reinstall your VLC.

Re: Cannot read AVI files

Ok, thanks, I will try that.
However, how come I get .avi files whatever the codec choice I get? Is it a matter of video file containers, codecs and Co?
Jaime

Re: Cannot read AVI files

Hi Jaba,

Can you try and play the .avi files using Media Player Classic?

MPC reads most of the video codecs.

Re: Cannot read AVI files

I tried again with fresh installations of VLC and MPC, none of them works when the native Linksys program does.

MPC reports that "it could not render some of the pins of the graph" and adds the info below:

Re: Camera Firmware and NTP Settings

So this problem was escalated to a higher level support and it the problem was verified and confirmed on September 10, 2015.  I can't reveal the case number because that is against this forums policies.

I was told that my sustaining engineer was waiting for feedback from the Engineering team.  I was also told that this device is "end of life" and that they may not fix the problem.  I do know that you can still buy these camera's new from various online retailers and I suspect that with a recent purchase you would be entitled to some kind of warranty whether the device is "end of life" or not.

Frankly, I really don't now how long I've had this problem, but I do know that I received a firmware update for the camera back in June and that it was around that time that I started noticing the problem.

Firmware details:

Ver 1.0.01 build 01

Lastest Date: 06/09/2015

Download DYRH08-510-100101.bin 4 MB

If the product is "end of life" then why did they release a new firmware build.  And since it appears that the firmware build introduces an issue, why don't you fix it?

Re: Cannot read AVI files

What is the error message when playing it on VLC and Windows media player?

Re: WVC54GCA v1.1.01 download

Hello guys i am looking for to get the CD installation for the  WVC54GCA  too and I just tried to download trough the link provided right here but it is not going trough I can just download the firnware. Is there any other  way to download it?

Thanks

Re: WVC54GCA v1.1.01 download

I got an error message from one drive that the antivirus is unable to scan the folder but for the other folder which I can download them but not the CD-Content.

UPnP: Internet Gateway UPnP discovery failure.

After something like two years, I am STILL trying to get the WVC80N camera to write a file onto ANYTHING!  Now, the camera status log shows: "UPnP: Internet Gateway UPnP discovery failure."  What does this mean and HOW can I fix it?  I know the camera is working because I can sit at my computer and view the video; I just cannot get it to write a motion-sensed video file to my computer, my HP MediaSmart server, the Seagate Go_Flex box or the USB drive connected directly to the LINKSYS router, a WRT1900AC, as an FTP device.

Is there ANYONE out there who has been able to get one of these cameras to wirelessly send a file through LINKSYS's own router to a storage device?  If so, how in blazes do you do it?

The computer is using an Intel Core i7 running Windows 10 but I have been having this problem using Windows 7, 8 and 8.1.

Re: Cannot read AVI files

What VLC says is:

Códec no soportado: LC no puede decodificar el formato «D264» (No description for this codec):

Translation: Non supported CODEC, VLC cannot decode the D264 format.

And Windows Media Player does not say anything, it just does not show anything but the cursor advances as if it was playing it.

Re: WVC54GCA v1.1.01 download

Hi Jona

I was trying to connect this camera with Ispy software and now it is working fine but I have another model which is WVC54GC and it is not working with Ispy software the following version below

V1.21, JUL 07, 2006

And I think maybe the issue is the firmware version which is to old for the WVC54GC?

Please any help would be appreciate.

Thanks

Re: WVC54GCA v1.1.01 download

And also how do you upgrade the firmware to this camera?

Re: WVC54GCA v1.1.01 download

Hi, Stee! We'd like to help, however, due to the terms and conditions governed by the laws with the use of this firmware, we can no longer provide you the firmware available for download from our website.
