Hey, Brute! I got busy during the holidays so I wasnt able to reply right away.
Manually create a TZO account in this link: https://www.tzo.com/linksys
Choose the following options:
- Linksys or Cisco Camera
- I have a WVC54GCA Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera (yes, you need to choose this option even though you have a WVC80N)
- I would like to try Dyn Dynamic DNS for 30 Days for FREE!
- Your Serial Number: This is the tricky part. You have to input the serial number of the camera, but you have to change the 1st 3 characters from AUY to AS5 (second character is the letter 's'). If the serial number is AUY123456789, change it to AS5123456789.
Finish the whole process using a valid email address. The TZO key will be sent to the same email address registered. That should work.
By the way, I keep on telling you this because I don't want your time to be wasted. Before the TZo/DNS will work, the remote access feature of the camera should function. You need to have an OPEN result on the ping.eu website I gave you. Believe me, I spent months trying to figure this out before. Without that opened, there is no way you can remotely access the camera.
Another way to check is by using the manual remote access process. Do you remember the public IP you get when you go to ping.eu? Use that to test if it will work. Use your phone data internet (LTE, 4g, or 3g will do), open a mobile browser and access http://PublicIP:1024. If that does not work, TZO will not work either.
If you're still having challenges, it would be best is you phone Linksys. They should be able to help you isolate the problem. Happy holidays mate!
